So, now that my junior year is over (yay Seniors!) I've got the whole summer off to make art. Maybe. haha Usually by the time I get to summer, I'm pretty burnt out, especially after getting final grades. I've been thinking about continuing the people-eating tree series this summer, I just need to find small canvases. It gives me a great opportunity to work on my craft. I love my little trees, but I'm not all that great at painting. I'm also thinking about the message they send. As a series, they make sense, but individually, they don't. So I need to work on having one clear message in each painting that can tie the series together. So I think that I'll stick with my theme of recycling trees who eat people who don't recycle!

This is a sculpture I just did that's a giant heart supporting tiny babies in jars to they can survive after being unwanted (abortion). The heart is metal wrapped in silk and the babies were molded with cast-able plastic.

Here's some photo I jsut did on a study of human scars ad how they can be viewed as portraits.
